Nassau on your terms. A dedicated guide stays with your group for the full three hours, and you choose the vehicle, the stops and whether you go in the morning or the afternoon.
Popular stops include the Queen’s Staircase, Fort Charlotte, the Rum Cake Factory, Tasty Teas, the Island Caves and the Arawak Cay Fish Fry. Lunch is a sit-down Bahamian meal at a locally owned restaurant.

Minimum four guests to book a private tour.
- 02
Drivers must be 25–69 years old with a physical, valid driver’s licence. A photo of a licence is not accepted. ATV passengers must be 10 or older.

Jeep passengers of any age are welcome. Children 5 and under need a car seat, so mention it when you book.
- 04
A refundable damage deposit is taken at check-in, in cash or as an authorization on Visa or Mastercard. It’s returned or voided when the vehicle comes back.Every participant signs a tour waiver, and every driver signs a rental contract agreeing to the insurance deductible for any damage to the vehicle.

Cruise port pickup is 30–45 minutes before your tour time, from the Rental Center at the port. Look for the Bowcar company vehicle.

Everyone else meets at Bowcar, Sands Road off East Street, Nassau, 30 minutes before the tour.

Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your booking: you get a full refund. Cancel by phone or email and wait for the team to confirm.
Cancellations within 24 hours, late arrivals and no-shows are not refunded. Port pickups wait 5 minutes past the booked time.
If Bowcar has to cancel, for example for severe weather, you choose between rescheduling, a full refund or a credit towards another tour or rental.

How many people can come?
Private tours start at four guests. Planning a bigger group? Call 1-800-558-1364 and the team will arrange the vehicles and guides you need.
Can we choose where we go?
Yes. Tell your guide what you’d like to see. Most groups pick from the Queen’s Staircase, Fort Charlotte, the Rum Cake Factory, Tasty Teas, the Island Caves and the Fish Fry.
What if it rains?
Most tours run in light rain. If severe weather means a change, the team contacts you and you can reschedule, take a credit or get a full refund.
Will I make it back to my ship?
All guided tours are 3 hours. Check your ship’s departure time and leave an extra 30–45 minutes of buffer. Bowcar has run port-day tours since 2002.
