Climb into an open-side jeep and follow your local guide for three hours around Nassau’s landmarks: history, culture and Bahamian flavours, finishing with a sit-down lunch.

The jeep seats up to six, so it works for couples, families and groups. Children of all ages are welcome, and the tour is wheelchair accessible.

Children of all ages are welcome. Children 5 and under need a car seat, available for $10.

Want to drive? Drivers must be 25–69 years old with a physical, valid driver’s licence. A photo of a licence is not accepted.

Wheelchair accessible and suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Every participant signs a tour waiver, and every driver signs a rental contract agreeing to the insurance deductible for any damage to the vehicle.

Not coming off a ship? Meet at Bowcar, Sands Road off East Street, Nassau, 30 minutes before the tour.

Tours run on set days. A group that meets the tour minimum may be able to go on another day.

Cancellation policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your booking: you get a full refund. Cancel by phone or email and wait for the team to confirm.

Cancellations within 24 hours, late arrivals and no-shows are not refunded. Port pickups wait 5 minutes past the booked time.

If Bowcar has to cancel, for example for severe weather, you choose between rescheduling, a full refund or a credit towards another tour or rental.

Questions, answered

Can the kids come?

Yes, all ages are welcome on the jeep tour. Children 5 and under ride in a car seat ($10). Tell us their ages when you book.

ATV or jeep: which tour should we pick?

Both cover the same route. ATVs feel more open and individual. The jeep seats up to six side by side, which suits couples, families and groups.

Do you do private or group tours?

Yes, private tours start at four guests. See the VIP Private Tour or call 1-800-558-1364.

What if it rains?

Most tours run in light rain. If severe weather means a change, the team contacts you and you can reschedule, take a credit or get a full refund.

Will I make it back to my ship?

All guided tours are 3 hours. Check your ship’s departure time and leave an extra 30–45 minutes of buffer. Bowcar has run port-day tours since 2002.
